Contact Management

Import, organize, and segment your contacts. CSV imports with column mapping, source system tracking, and contact lists for targeted outreach.

Contact Management

Import contacts from anywhere

Lattia's contact import system handles CSV files from any source — PayPal, Zeffy, Venmo, Stripe, your old CRM, or a spreadsheet you've been maintaining in Excel. Upload a file, and the drag-and-drop column mapper lets you match each CSV column to Lattia's contact fields: email, first name, last name, phone, address, order amounts, and more. No rigid templates, no reformatting your data before upload.

Each import creates a named contact list with a source system badge so you always know where data came from. Import your "2024 PayPal Donors" alongside your "Mailchimp Subscribers" and keep them organized as distinct lists while all contacts are consolidated into a single master view.

Consolidated contact view

The "All Contacts" view shows every person across every list — deduplicated by email. Search by name, email, phone, or city. Filter by contact list to zoom into a specific segment. Each contact row shows their name, email, phone, list memberships, total transaction value, and when they were added.

Click into any contact and you see their full profile: every list they belong to, their complete contact information, and all associated list entries with order numbers, amounts, and dates. It's the single source of truth for "who is this person and what's their history with our organization?"

Deduplicated by email

The same email across five imports creates one contact with five list memberships — not five duplicate records.

Source system badges

PayPal, Zeffy, Venmo, Stripe, Mailchimp — each import is tagged with its origin so you know where every contact came from.

Contact lists as audience segments

Every import creates a contact list, and contact lists double as audience segments for email campaigns. When you send an email, you can target a specific list — "send this only to my 2024 Gala Donors" or "send this to my Mailchimp import." Lists show contact count, total transaction value, source system, and import date at a glance.

Drag-and-drop column mapping

The import wizard doesn't force your CSV into a rigid format. After you upload a file, Lattia shows you the first few rows of data and lets you drag each column to the correct field. Unmapped columns are ignored — you don't need to delete them from your file first. The mapper handles messy real-world data from any export format.

Imports run in the background. Large files are processed as queued jobs so you don't have to sit and wait. You'll see the contact count update on your list once processing is complete.

Works alongside donor management

Contacts and donors are complementary systems. Donors are built automatically from transaction data (donations and store orders). Contacts are imported manually from external sources. Together, they give you a complete picture: people who've given through Lattia plus people you know from other systems — all searchable, all segmentable, all available as email audiences.
